In the true spirit of Family Day – we welcome our very wonderful friends and clients – Tanya & Steve who we have recently visited for a pregnancy/maternity photo shoot!  The happy couple were just married this past August 27th, 2011 – and we had previously done quite a bit of work with Steve, as he is a musician for the bands “Groovy Food” and “The Permtones“.  We’ve become quite good friends with Steve and Tanya, and we were very happy to have returned to photograph more moments of their magically fun lives!

The couple had invited us to their lovely home, and we found it to be a really fun setting for their maternity photo shoot.  The shoot wouldn’t have been complete without the collection of wide-eyed owls, the fresh sour dough bread from the market, the incredible homemade guacamole dip,  and of course the ultra-memorable fun love between Tanya & Steve as they prepare for the soon-arrival of their baby….and the shoot became that much more amazing when Steve brought out the Banjo and the Mandolin for a little duet!

A big congratulations to our fantastic friends, and a big thank you for having us capture the beginnings to their beautiful new family.

Here are some of our favourite highlights from the photo shoot:

When we advertise to the public that we do boudoir shoots – we welcome anyone – of any age – to have us capture them in a way that they have never seen before – which usually always results in our “models” feeling like they have either never felt before or have felt in many years.

We met with Denise for this shoot before Christmas 2011 – (she has since hired us again for a Valentine’s Boudoir Photo Shoot) – and we must say – we were quite impressed with the lovely lady! She had wanted to do a boudoir shoot – something that she hadn’t done in a decade. Denise had a boudoir photo shoot when she was in her 40′s, and then another one in her 50′s – and now that she is 67 years old, she has chosen Weller Photography to capture her “boudoir-look” in her 60′s!

We had a really fantastic time with Denise during her photo shoot – and to this day, Denise is always planning new photo shoots with us in the future!

“As I explained to you when we first spoke of doing this photo shoot, I am in my sixties, suffered two strokes a few years ago and have small vessel disease in my brain along with other fairly serious medical problems.  Even though I was able to recover about 90% of the “old me”, I am still left with multiple medical problems however I decided I needed to do something to make me feel glamorous and alive again.

I am so glad I contacted you and arranged this photo shoot, the photographs are absolutely amazing, I had no idea an older woman could look this good!

The whole shoot was a wonderful experience thanks to you Thomas. You made it energetic, sexy and lots of fun and I felt more alive and desirable than I have felt in years.

I do admit to being a little nervous prior to setting this up because of my age but you  made me forget my age and you put the focus where it should be, simply on a lady who wanted some boudoir shots of herself to remind herself of how far she has come since recovering from the strokes etc, thereby proving sexy and glamorous is not just for the young and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for that. I felt very comfortable during the whole experience.

Larissa & Peter visited us last week for a fun-filled maternity photo shoot!  Larissa was due within just a few days of the shoot, but the happy couple really wanted to have some pre-birth memories!

We met at our home-studio location – where we worked with a few different backgrounds and settings for some really amazing maternity moments.
