**UPDATE!**

Dan Dakin COMPLETED the 660 Stairs on November 8th at the Skylon Tower – However – plans had drastically changed for Dan for that day.  Unfortunately, Dan was unable to complete the Stair-Climb Marathon due to breaking some bones in his foot the week of the climb. This put Dan into crutches for the day of the Climb.  Dan pushed through and still completed the climb – in 18 minutes ad 3 seconds.

Prior to the climb, we met with Dan and his son Tyler who as joining him for the climb, as well as their friend Sarah who was there to ensure Dan made it up the tower safely. We took the yellow bug elevator up to the top and I descended half of the tower to meet up with Dan as he climbed to the top. It was great fun to be a part of this feat, and to capture some great shots of the climb.

We met with an old friend and colleague of mine, Dan Dakin, for a few quick promotional photos for his upcoming “Stair Climb for Cancer” at the Skylon Tower in Niagara Falls on November 6th.

Dan Dakin, who is the Editor of Canadian Cycling Magazine, will be climbing 660 stairs continuously for 4 hours. As no record exists for the most times up the tower in the 4 hours of the Annual Event – Dan aims to set a new record and raise funds for a really great cause in his tower climb.
